Once in a while, there’s a story out of Hollywood that’s so odd, it’s hard to even know what to say about it. The current situation with Val Kilmer is a prime example of that…
Over this past week, the former Batman star decided to let all of his Twitter followers know that he loves Cate Blanchett with whom he acted in 2003’s The Missing. It’s been a long time since they actually worked together but it seems that she has left quite an impression on the actor.
The 57-year-old admitted: “Once I flew all the way to Australia just to talk to Cate Blanchett. Her husband met me first. Or, instead, I guess, to be accurate.”

Yeah, clearly they got the vibe that something just wasn’t right. I’m sure they are feeling even more confident in their instincts after Kilmer posted this creepy follow-up tweet:
A day later, he obviously didn’t realize that he should stop his public adoration since the awkward tweets continued. Despite having visited the World Trade Center memorial that day (which, really, should have put this fool into a more pensive, somber mood).
She's just as amazing in person. Some super stars aren't-Some superstars don't do a thing to ya in person-Cate is so real it's almost unreal

Apparently, she’s so “unreal” that she made it hard for him to work just by doing a mundane task. He shared (overshared?): “Once I did a cameo just to hang w/ #cateblanchett who pickd up a shovel in our sc. I was so dazzled by HOW she picked it up I forgot my line.”
He capped it all off by posting an image of Blanchett along with the caption: “I mean even if she couldnt act you know what I mean?”
When people called him out for being creepy and weird, he went on the defensive and claimed that Blanchett was his “friend” and that she would “back up every word” he said about her. He explained his tweets as “enthusiasm for a great rare artist.”
Cate Blanchett and Australian playwright, Andrew Upton, have been married since 1997 and share four children, Dashiell John, 15, Roman Robert, 12, Ignatius Martin, 8 and Edith Vivian Patricia, whom was welcomed through adoption three years ago.
Please move on, Val Kilmer. No matter what you say, this is just weird.
